What is MCP and why does it matter for creator marketing?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI agents connect directly to external services. Instead of manual data pulls or custom integrations, your agent can call AMT tools natively — searching creators, pulling metrics, and triggering actions in real time, all within the same conversation.
Which AI clients support MCP?
AMT's MCP server works with Claude Code (CLI), Claude Desktop, Cursor, and any client that supports the MCP HTTP transport. Add the server URL and authenticate via OAuth — tools appear automatically.
How is authentication handled?
Authentication is handled via OAuth. When you first connect, you'll be prompted to sign in through your browser. Your session is workspace-scoped and tokens are managed securely by the MCP client.
Which AMT plan includes API access?
Read-only tools are available on Shopify Growth and Enterprise Scale plans. Managed execution tools require Enterprise Scale. Contact us if you're on Creator Discovery and want API access.
Are there rate limits?
60 requests per minute per user. If exceeded you'll receive a 429 response with a retry-after value in seconds. Contact us to discuss elevated limits for high-volume workflows.
